Register to be part of the Migration Festival Walking Parade!
We have reimagined our 2026 Migration Festival parade as a Walking Parade at Lakeside Park! Gather your family, friends, teammates, coworkers or community group volunteers and assemble a creative "walking float" to showcase along the parade route. As usual, fun family activities will follow the parade. Now it is even easier to stay close to all the action during the Migration Festival Weekend.
The Parade will be on Saturday, October 17, 2026, starting at 10:00 am.
Instructions on staging (lining up) and destaging (leaving) will be sent closer to the event date. The Walking Parade will be taking place at Lakeside Park.
There is no cost to enter the Parade, but we ask that your entry be a fall-theme or related to the Jack Miner Migratory Bird Sanctuary. Show your Migration Festival spirit with:
- Banners and signs
- Costumed walkers
- Costumed pets
- Decorated strollers or wagons
- And more!
Prize Categories for our Parade include :
- Best walking entry
- Best wheeled entry
- Best theme entry
- Most creative
