Flag Raising Request Form


Please read the following carefully before submitting a request.

You must submit this form a minimum of two (2) weeks in advance of when you are requesting a flag to be flown.

Special Flags will only be flown at the Kingsville Arena Complex (1741 Jasperson Drive) for a maximum duration of one (1) week.


Requests to fly a Special Flag must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Support of a particular event by a non-profit or charitable organization;
  • Celebration achievements;
  • Celebration of multi-cultural and civic events;
  • Public awareness campaigns.

A request may be denied if the purpose of the Special Flag is supporting or promoting:

  • Political parties or political organizations;
  • Religious organizations or religious events or celebrations;
  • Celebrations, campaigns or events intended for profit-making purposes;
  • Events that support discrimination, hatred, violence or prejudice.

The Town reserves the right to schedule a flag raising based on the availability of flag poles.

Please note that the Mayor has the authority to approve or deny requests upon consideration of the criteria listed above.

Ceremony Information

Please note that the Town is not able to provide equipment (i.e. tables, podium, speakers, etc.) for Flag Raisings.

I, the undersigned, declare that all of the information provided is true and correct. I understand that the submission of this application does not guarantee that my request will be granted. I further understand that the decision to grant or deny my request is final.
