Guidelines for Businesses

Congratulations! We are happy to hear your business has something to celebrate and are honoured that you want the Town of Kingsville to be a part of it. A Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony presents an opportunity to promote your business within the Town of Kingsville and beyond through social media. It also allows you to celebrate with those who have supported you while striving to reach your business goals by inviting them to the ribbon-cutting.

When will the Town provide a ribbon-cutting ceremony?

We use ribbon-cutting ceremonies to: 

• Welcome new businesses to the Town of Kingsville (must be scheduled within one year of opening)
• Mark a significant move or expansion for established businesses or organizations
• Highlight ownership change

Am I eligible?

Your business must meet one of the requirements above and be located within the Town of Kingsville boundaries to qualify. Ceremonies are limited to a maximum of one ribbon-cutting ceremony per calendar year, regardless of the reason. 

What Does a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Entail?

The Town of Kingsville provides the following: 

• Invitation to the Town of Kingsville Mayor and members of Council to attend the event
• Photography for promotional use on social media
• Provision of ceremony ribbon and scissors
