The Great Migration Paint Out - Youth and Children's Form
The Children and Youth category of the Great Migration Paint Out will take place from 9:00 am on September 21, 2026 to 4:30 pm on October 16, 2026.
The art created must be submitted to the Kingsville Arena (1741 Jasperson Dr, Kingsville, ON N9Y 2E4) by October 16, 2026 by 4:30 pm.
It is FREE to be a part of this contest.
- Children's Category - Ages 12 and under
- Youth Category - Ages 13-18
This competition is an outdoor painting, “en plein air” art competition for children and youth. Enjoy nature and capture a moment and memory on paper or canvas.

Rules
- Art must be completed between Monday, September 21 to Friday, October 16, 2026.
- Art must be original work, without the aid of photography or additional instruction.
- Artwork must be drawn or painted entirely outdoors.
- Artwork must depict a scene from Kingsville, Ontario.
- Canvases are best, but if using paper, ensure it’s attached to a study support (cardstock paper, Bristol board, cardboard, etc.).
- Recommended size is 8” by 10”.
- Art must be submitted by October 16, 2026 by 4:30 pm to the Kingsville Arena (1741 Jasperson Dr, Kingsville, ON N9Y 2E4).
Judging of the Youth and Children categories will take place the following week and all submissions will be put on display at the Great Migration Paint Out Show and Sale on October 18, 2026 at Grovedale Arts and Culture Centre (103 Park St, Kingsville) from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The artists are encouraged to attend. The award ceremony will take place at 4:00 pm.
Artists are required to leave their artwork until the end of the exhibition at 5:00 pm on Sunday, October 18. Unsold artwork may be picked up at the Grovedale Arts and Culture Centre on Sunday October 18, from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm and on Monday, October 19 at the Kingsville Arena from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Barring any special arrangements, any artwork not removed by 5:00 pm Monday becomes the property of the Town of Kingsville and will be disposed of as they see fit.
