Election Official Application 

The Corporation of the Town of Kingsville is recruiting candidates for temporary municipal election support staff positions.

The Town of Kingsville is seeking reliable, customer-service-focused individuals to support the delivery of the municipal election. These temporary positions assist with various election-related duties on Advance Voting Days and Election Day (Monday, October 26, 2026). Applicants may be required to complete an interview, and successful candidates will be assigned to positions based on their experience and skill set.

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Must be a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years of age on Election Day
  • Available to work up to 12 hours
  • Available to attend mandatory training session(s)

The deadline to apply to be an Election Official is September 4, 2026.

Election Positions 

Election positions will be assigned based on applicant's experience and skill set. 

 Information Officer  Greets and assists Voters. Directs them to the appropriate Election Official, and provides assistance to Voters with disabilities upon request.
 Ballot Officer                             Issue ballots to eligible Voters and ensure the secrecy and integrity of the voting process.
 Registration Officer      Process applications to amend the Voters’ List, update Voter information as required, and assist Voters in accurately completing and submitting  forms.
 Tabulator Officer

 Operates and monitors the tabulator, ensuring it functions properly and that all ballots are correctly processed. Assists Voters with  feeding ballots  into the tabulator and troubleshoots equipment issues as needed.
