Kingsville's Industrial and Commercial Community Improvement Plan (CIP) aims to foster growth, improvement, and revitalization in our Town. The objective of this program is to: 

• Support Kingsville's 2040 Strategic Plan priority to create a thriving local economy
• Incentivize private sector investment
• Promote economic diversification
• Enhance quality "local" employment opportunities

Three grant streams are available to qualifying applicants.

Industrial Development Property Tax Increase Grant

The Town will waive:

• 100% of the Municipal Property Tax Increase for Years 1-5
• 50% of the Municipal Property Tax Increase for Years 6-8
• 25% of the Municipal Property Tax Increase for Years 9-10

Applicant requirements:

• $10 Million Investment (Construction Value)
• 30 New Eligible Full-time Jobs

Commercial Development Property Tax Increase Grant

The Town will waive:

• 50% of the Municpal Property Tax Increase for Years 1-5

Applicant requirements

• $5 Million Investment (Construction Value)
• 15 New Eligible Full-time Jobs

Industrial - Commercial Property Tax Freeze Grant

The Town will: 

• Freeze Municipal Property Taxes for 10 years on the acquisition of an existing business/property

Applicant requirements: 

• $5 Million Investment (Purchase Value)
• Must be acquired from an arm’s length 3rd party
• 30 Eligible Full-time Jobs retained
