Noise Permit Application
By-law 69-2003, as amended, regulates noise in the Town of Kingsville which includes both general restrictions on certain types of noise as well as time-based restrictions for certain activities. Noise Permits are intended for large special events and gatherings. Common examples include backyard weddings, large family reunions, or outdoor gatherings with live bands and music. Noise Permits are not required for ordinary social gatherings at private residences (e.g. backyard barbecues, etc.).
Fee: There is a $50.00 non-refundable application fee, payable at the time of application.
Timeline: Requests must be submitted at least 30 days before the event. Late submissions run the risk of not being processed before the event date.
Notifications: Please note that upon approval of a request, the applicant will be required to notify impacted neighbours of the approved Noise Permit by letter or in person, including such details as the date and time/duration of the event, the type of noise, and whom to contact in the event of a complaint.
The applicant hereby applies for a Noise Permit in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Act and Town of Kingsville By-law 69-2003, as amended. The applicant understands and acknowledges that the issuance of a Noise Permit shall not relieve them from responsibility to comply with all applicable statutes, regulations, and by-laws.
