Property Records Request Application

The purpose of this Application is to provide property owners or their realtors and/or lawyers with a means to access records that may aid in real estate transactions such as sales and refinancing applications. Upon submission of this Application, the Town will conduct a search for the records you have selected and provide any exisiting records back to the requestor.  Please carefully read the following before proceeding to complete this Application:

  • The Town makes no assurance regarding the existence, availability, or completeness of any records responsive to the request, noting that certain records may exist only circumstantially (e.g., Orders to Comply issued under the Building Code Act);

  • The Town will not generate new records for the purpose of responding to Property Records Requests, Freedom of Information Requests, or otherwise;

  • The Town will not provide advice, opinions, or written representations concerning the subject property;

  • The Town will not confirm or deny the lawfulness of the use of the subject property, the legality of any structures, or compliance with applicable statutes, codes, or regulations; and,

  • The Town may, in accordance with the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, release records in whole or in part, or withhold them, where disclosure would reveal personal or third-party information, where the information does not pertain to the requestor, or where release may constitute an invasion of privacy. Where records are redacted or withheld, the requestor will be advised accordingly.

The Town is unable to expedite requests. Please allow a minimum of ten (10) business days for processing.
