The Great Migration Paint Out

Calling all artists! The Great Migration Paint Out" is a four-day "en Plein air" painting competition starting Thursday, October 19, 2023. Artists are invited to showcase their work during live painting demonstrations in conjunction with Kingsville's Annual Migration Festival. Draw inspiration from Kingsville's historical buildings, marinas, farms and lakeside vistas. Register to participate! Early bird registration is $35.00 until September 21, 2023. After September 22, 2023, the registration cost is $55.00.

This competition is open to all artists working in two dimensions.

First Prize: $1000 cash
Second Prize: $500 cash
Third Prize: $300 cash
Additional prizes are available to be won in different categories. 

The public will have the opportunity to view works in progress, attend the show and purchase your original work. Register today. Hosted by the Town of Kingsville and sponsored by the Arts Society of Kingsville.

This year's two-hour Quick Paint Competition is at Mettawas Park, Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. $10.00 to participate. Must provide your own canvas or panel and materials. 

First Prize - $300.00 cash

Outdoor painting, “en plein air” art competition for children and youth, October 19-22, 2023. Enjoy nature and capture a moment and memory on paper or canvas.

Rules: Art must be original work, without Photography or additional instruction. Paper art must be attached to a sturdy support. Artwork must depict a scene from Kingsville. 

Show & Sale: Sunday, October 22, 2023, 1:00 pm- 5:00 pm Grovedale Arts and Culture Centre, 103 Park Street. 

Please bring your artwork to the Grovedale with an identification tag on Saturday between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Please include the price if your art is for sale or put "NFS" in the price line if not for sale.
